Accident prone

Well here we are again at the doctor's office for my wonderful husband. He has too much energy for his own good. Poor thing.
Yesterday we were getting ready for church and Brock was upstairs getting something to eat. While he was up there him and Isaac started a competition to see who could get ready the fastest. At one point they were both downstairs and were racing back up. Isaac was in the lead so Brock jumped up the stairs trying to grab him. When he came down the side of his knee pounded into the stair. He says that at first it didn't hurt but it's slowly starting to hurt worse. He can barely walk. He is trying to be tough but I feel quite bad for him.
To make matters worse he has a job interview at 3 today. Hopefully he can walk by then!
Well we'll post when the doctor has a verdict! Ta ta for now!

Update

Well it's been quite a while since we've posted on this blog! We have been pretty busy little bees since the last post.
Shortly after recovering from my appendectomy I burnt my hand to the point of needing to go to InstaCare. I had severe second degree burns all over. It was nasty and blistered. Brock finished his winter semester at BYU and finished interning at the dentist place here in Orem.
During the last bit of his semester we decided it would be best for us to move in with the Rose's for Brock to work full time at Mike Stock's shop. As I was doing my last week at Old Navy before we moved back we got a call from Joy that Brock's grandpa MJ was dying and we needed to get to the hospital as soon as we can. We packed up and drove to Rexburg within the hour. We were able to say goodbye to him and be there when he passed away. It was a wonderful funeral that left us all with a smile on our faces and grateful that we knew him. He was driven through St Anthony in a horse drawn carriage. What a beautiful thing to be apart of. We then moved back to Bountiful where we've been ever since!
I've been babysitting some of the Rose's neighbor's baby. Her name is Claire and I absolutely love watching her! We had our one year anniversary in St George. While we were there Brock got a text that Mike was slow at work and he had to lay Brock off. Since then, he's been helping with projects around the house to earn extra cash until we find jobs when we move back to Orem.
Now that we're all updated we'll just talk about what we're doing now!
This last Thursay we went camping with Taylor and Krista Schulte at Trial Lake. We had so much fun with them! We fished, hiked, ate, sat around the campfire and fished some more! Krista and I caught the first two fish. Brock caught 2! The biggest and smallest out of the group:) I learned how to gut a fish as well! What an eventful 24 hours it was! After camping we went to Orem and stayed in our apartment. It felt so nice to be home.
Now we're driving back to Bountiful for the next few weeks until we move back to Orem. We cannot wait to move back.
Well that's what we've been up to here at the Rose residence. We'll be better about blogging from now on! Sorry it's such a long one! We'll keep posting!

Which do you prefer? Chem Tests, or an Appendectomy?

Hey there all you millions of readers, sorry to leave you hanging for nearly a month. My lovely wife has been a little out of commission. About two weeks ago she started a fairly rigorous exercise routine, she spent who knows how long kicking her own butt that day, and by the time I got home from school she was nearly dead lying on the couch. She wasn't suffering from your typical workout pains, and as she was described them, I was googling them. (That's about as close to a doctor as I get) Everything that she said she felt was under the Appendicitis section of webmed.
Just a few days earlier, I got the results back from my first Chemistry test of the semester.  When I took the test I was well aware that I didn't get everything right, sometimes I walk out of the testing center thinking I aced it, this time I was guessing somewhere between 65 and 85 percent. I figured out that even those scores were way too generous of a guess. Let's just say that I'm going to have to work my butt off for the rest of the semester to save my grade on this one.
So by the time this last weekend rolled around we both felt like we had been kicked in the stomach multiple times. Madi didn't want to go to the hospital because she was nearly positive that they would just say it was nothing even though she had been in terrible pain for three days. She was pretty reluctant about going, but I eventually talked her into letting me call and see what the doctor says. I called on monday morning and the doctor wanted her in by 3:30 that day. So right after I got home from school, I took her to the doctor to get some tests done. Tuesday morning she was at the hospital, and by about 2:30 she was appendicitis free. The poor girl has been stuck on the couch ever since and it is about to kill her. She keeps getting in trouble because she refuses to let other people help her out. Ha ha but we're taking her to the Jazz game tonight, so we'll really be able to see how she's doing. Anyway I've got my next chemistry test this next week so we'll see if my extra work made a difference. TTFN

it's been awhile...

So I had originally made the goal to post once a day so that family from wherever could read and know what we had done that day. I'm a terrible slacker. This week has been a pretty crazy one. We left Bountiful Tuesday morning for Brock to go to school and his internship and for me to go to work. That night, we came home from grocery shopping and hung out with Taylor and Krista for a little while. I love living by them. They make everything so much better! The left for Vegas Wednesday evening so we keep going down to their apartment to watch the Jazz games. Don't worry, they left us a key.
Yesterday was the day to remember for the week however. I had work from 7 am- 9:30. When Brock came to pick me up(we still only have one car), we went to his doctor appointment for his wonderful ankles that he rolls once a week. We got there at 10:22 for our 10:30 appointment. We finished all the paperwork by 10:34. The reason I know the exact times is because we waited in the waiting room to even go back to see the doctor until 11:52. Yes, It's true. We then waited to talk to the doctor twice after both sets of x-rays. The ligaments in his ankles are "shot" as the doctor said. He said surgery is an option but it is a 3 month recovery period.  Brock has decided not to get surgery. Since his ligaments are so "shot," his ankle doesn't swell or bruise anymore when he rolls it. (Which means they are basically indestructible and better than normal peoples ankles) The doctor just said that if he has a really bad sprain the cartilage could get damaged. We left the doctor at 12:45. It was a long 2 hours to just learn that he's not going to get surgery! It's good news not to need it though.

Today I decided I wanted to do a craft so I made a key hook! I love it! I took 3 nails and painted the ends purple with gray dots. I tied purple and sparkly white bows on the end and wrote "keys" above it with some cool decorating by me and the husband. No more losing our keys!
Well that's about as fun as it gets here. We're happier than ever!

One Crazy Weekend

We have had an awesome weekend! It started Friday when my brother Brayden came down from Bountiful to spend the night with us. When he got to our place we went to dinner at Panda Express then went to a dollar movie with Taylor and Krista Schulte! What a fun life we have! After the movie, we went home and watched "Ernest Goes to Camp." One of Brock's childhood movies. When we woke up on Saturday we drove up to Bountiful to spend the weekend with the families.
Brock here with my first ever blog entry, don't really know how to go about it. Saturday was quite an adventure though, Two days later I'm still sore from my semi-annual exercising. Once we got to bountiful we went straight over to the church to shoot some hoop. my father in law convinced me to finally try to learn to play with my left hand, I've been avoiding it for nearly 20 years. Then my buddy Rex came over, and man was it good to spend the evening with that boy. After a few hours with us he was talking about how he knew something bad was going to happen to him. About two hours later, at this wild trampoline world Rex messed his ankle up quite good. Man it was good to relive a little bit of the high school life with rex. So there's the blog entry, enjoy everyone.
On Sunday evening we did the yearly tradition of Chinese New Year at my grandma's house. It was a lot of fun to see my family after so long (Christmas!). Now we're doing family night with both families. It's so nice to have families that are so close. It makes splitting time much easier. We'll be heading back home to our cute little apartment.
It was a very fun weekend and it has made us grow much closer. Our life is amazing!

Curry Chicken

Yesterday morning I woke up at 4:45 thinking I had to be at work to do placements at 5:30 a.m.. It turns out that was for today. When I got there it was empty and all the lights were off. I turned right back around and went to bed! Luckily that gave me time to get ready for Paige to come over.
On Saturday I decided I really miss my friends growing up and asked one of them (Paige) if she would like to come over for dinner this week. She came over for curry chicken and a big round of lots of laughs (and taffy)! It is so much fun to catch up with people you don't see anymore. Paige and I have been friends since 2nd grade (that's 13 years). That's a long time in my mind! And I hope it lasts that much longer.
Brock has decided he's going to read the bible by the end of this year. So far, he's pretty far behind. By the end of the month he needs to read 60 chapters to catch up to where he's supposed to be. All I have to say to him is good luck! As a couple we're reading the Book of Mormon and we're right on track for that one!
Well Brock has made a yummy dinner from his mission tonight. It's the one meal he makes and I love seeing him actually cooking instead of cutting the veggies or chicken like he does for me when I cook. He's a pretty good little cook!
We love life and are doing great here at the Roses!

Dr. Rose

This semester, Brock has had the opportunity to job shadow a dentist once a week. He LOVES it! He comes home and immediately asks to look at my teeth and talks about how gross other people's mouths are. I love seeing him so excited. Last week was his first time and he told me he was more sure than ever that that is what he wants to do. He already knows the names of the faces of teeth, the numbers of the teeth, names of tools and where certain nerves are located in the mouth. It's all he talks about on Tuesdays and I love it! He has a lot of school ahead of him, but he can't wait to take on the challenge and one day be a dentist.
As for me and school, I hope to be going back fall semester. I'm going to try to get into an online school so that I can still work full time to pay for my schooling and all our other needs so that the Doctor can just focus on school. For now, Old Navy is treating me just fine:).
  Life is grand!!
P.S. Does Oreo cereal sound like a good idea? It was take out the problem of how to dunk an Oreo! :) Maybe they already have it out; if they do, I'm missing out.
